Bob's Life Celebration - Open Mic/Jam Night

About this event

On Saturday 19th September we celebrate the life and legacy of Swanseas number one Bonafide Rock Star, Bob Davies.

For those that knew him (and there aren’t many who didn’t) he represented all that’s good about the power of music. 
The music that brings us together.
The friendships that form.
The memories created.
Bob would be found at the centre and never failed to show up. Selflessly supporting others and bringing the party.

So we turn up for Bob and celebrate his life in the way that he did for us. With a Jam!

Hangar 18 music Venue Swansea will provide the space, the equipment and hopefully some food. The stage is YOURS.
Fancy dress is optional.

But there’s more, Bobs not done yet.
If there was one thing Bob will be remembered for it’s the way in which he supported less experienced musicians in the open mic/jam nights he attended every single week across the whole of South Wales. So we’d like to announce the formation of the ‘Bit’s n bobs’ foundation (legal business structure yet to be determined).

100% of the bar profit will be donated.
Staff volunteering for free.
Bobs vast T-shirt collection will be sold for donations and whatever else we can think of in the next week to keep Bobs legacy alive.

What will we do with the money? First and foremost Bobs daughter Stacey needs help with the costs of the direct cremation. If we smash that target we’ll use what’s left the way Bob would. To support musicians with recording, tuition, equipment.

Any help with a Buffett would be greatly appreciated and any help on the bar also wouldn’t go amiss.
And of course we want as many musicians as possible to get up and play a few songs.
