About this event

Dayydream is the songwriting project of Chloe Trappes, a visual artist and musician based in Glasgow. What initially began as a solo project has since turned into a four piece band, with their songwriting growing in ambition, style and scope. Dayydream's sound encompasses aspects of 90s slowcore, dreampop and indie-folk, inspired by the likes of Elliott Smith, Yo La Tengo, and Mazzy Star. Since the release of their debut EP 'Bittersweet' in 2022, Dayydream have received support from KEXP, Bandcamp, The Skinny, Mystic Sons and Get in Her Ears, and supported artists such as Cryogeyser, Teethe, Deary and Maria BC. Dayydream welcome their second EP 'Trace' - a delicate but heavy embrace of the sentimental, the melodramatic, and the nostalgic, told through diaristic lyrics, atmospheric guitars, and subtle rhythms.
