What to Expect

The very talented Jade from Mallow Textiles will be hosting this workshop where you will learn the basics of frame weaving. You will create a small woven wall hanging to take home. A mixture of materials with various textures and colours will be provided to spark your creative freedom; showing you how to use scraps and household materials to start your weaving journey.

Artist Bio

I am a sustainable textile artist and painter. My primary focus is in woven fabric and upcycling items. I use as much donated, found, deadstock and sustainable material as possible within my work as the fashion and textiles industry is one of the most polluting industries. My work has bold patterns and bright colours. I draw most of my inspiration from natural forms. Jade 

The workshop will run from 6 - 8pm at Cinema & Co. There is FREE PARKING for up to 3 hours on the Lidl side of Parc Tawe, we are just a 5 minute walk away. We are also a short walk from the bus and train station.
