About the venue
A large bar and grill rated 4.3 from more than 1,100 reviews, mid-priced, open until 11pm midweek so there is no rush at the end. It is a busy, sociable room rather than a quiet one — good for circulating, less suited to a long one-to-one conversation. Reviewers mention a Wednesday wing special, which draws a crowd.
Getting there
The venue is on Stephen Avenue in the middle of downtown. The nearest CTrain stop is 7 Street SW, roughly ten minutes' walk west along 8th Avenue, and it sits inside the free fare zone — so travel along the 7th Avenue corridor costs nothing. 8 Street SW is a couple of minutes further. Parking is easy: a surface lot at 208 9 Ave SW is one minute away, Bankers Hall Parkade two, and evening rates downtown are far below weekday rates.
