New Cross Live presentsIon Maiden - Fully Charged Tribute to Iron MaidenIon Maiden formed in August 2018, The original line up was built around the core of four ex-members of some of best Maiden tribute bands in the UK at the time.  Since the band's formation they have played in Europe , and various clubs all around the UK, one of these being in London at the Camden Underworld raising over £3,000 for Dianno Aid to help the Legend that is Paul Di'Anno with his treatments, Paul himself was blown away by the video footage that was sent to him in Croatia.In early 2022 the band were honoured to be asked to open the "Birthplace of Iron Maiden" the Cart & Horses after its lengthy refurbishment, with support from Airforce, whose Drummer is none other than Doug Sampson ex Iron Maiden who featured on the original soundhouse tapes. With the current line up taking everywhere by storm since March 2022 the band has gone from strength to strength and are now putting on some of the most authentic maiden shows you'll see, they have played in some amazing venues including playing the Maiden Aftershow party in Manchester June 2023, and 3 sold out in advance shows in November 2022, November 2023 and November 2024 at the Cart & Horses, the most recent show the band were joined onstage by former Iron Maiden Guitarist Terry Wapram.2024 has been the most successful year. Selling out numerous venues in advance and 2025 promises to be another great year. We will be revisting our regular venues and plenty of new venues spreading even further across the uk. Since 2009 we've been active in the UK Metal and Rock venue circuit as Dethonator.Our sound is fully melodic in the classic Heavy Metal style, focusing on clean vocals and lyric lead guitar melodies. We also have secondary influences from Power Metal, Thrash, Progressive and, occasionally, Extreme Metal genres in our music.Our ethos: to make anthemic songs with an epic tone for all metalheads to enjoy and to deliver high-quality live performances.We have released 4 Albums, 1 EP and 2 Singles to date, including a concept album based on Dracula.
