SOUL CRYSTAL PRESENTS: JOURNEY: Shaé Universe - London Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Shae Universe has made waves in the UK, the US, West Africa, Asia and beyond making music that captivates, heals and inspires. Born in Nigeria to a gospel singing mother and a pastoral father, Shae weaves her faith & real life experiences into her artistry. Though Nigerian by heritage, Shae grew up in the UK and has steadily worked her way to being a household name in UK R&B. She's been celebrated by several UK & US legends ranging from Estelle, Stormzy and Little Simz to Lalah Hathaway, Durand Bernarr, Jon B, Teedra Moses, Tiwa Savage and many more. She's remained entirely independent, navigating the industry on her own terms and has garnered recognition from British Vogue, NME, Rolling Stone, BET, Billboard, Essence, Complex, Wonderland, NOTION and more. Shae released a classic R&B project titled 'Love's Letter' in February 2024, followed by the Deluxe version in October 2024 which featured Lalah Hathaway, Nao, Aqyila, ESTA. and Joseph Solomon. Following that she went on to release her very own Tiny Desk and headline her first European tour before 2024 came to a close. Earlier this year she was nominated for a MOBO Award alongside having her debut TV performance at the ceremony in February, 2025 and Shae most recently supported Durand Bernarr on his 'You Gon' Grow Too' Tour and US R&B mogul Jon B on his 'Natural Drug'tour. She also recently featured on the lead single of Idris & Sabrina Elba's joint album 'No Lip Service' which came out May, 2025 and is currently working on some new exciting projects and will be rolling out early 2026 "The music I've been making has been an exploration of jazz, R&B and neo soul but infused in my own unique way. I want this new music to hit deeply yet soothingly and I've been working hard to develop that balance in both my musicality and my writing. I can't wait for the world to receive this new expansion of Shae's Universe!"
