Cost: Free to attend. The venue asks that everyone buys a drink at full price

About the venue: A cocktail bar and Caribbean kitchen rated 4.4 from around 450 reviews, mid-priced. Note it is closed Monday and Tuesday, opening at 5pm and closing at midnight Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Reviewers describe a large outdoor patio surrounded by murals with a small bandstand, and an indoor room that gets busy — the patio is the better bet for conversation.
Getting there: The venue is on South Main Street in the Arts District, well away from the Strip — worth stating clearly, since visitors often assume a Las Vegas event is on the Strip. There is no rail serving the district, so arrival is by car or rideshare; a public parking lot on South Casino Center Boulevard is a minute's walk. The Deuce and SDX buses run along Las Vegas Boulevard nearby.
