About the venue: A bar and grill rated 4.4 from around 1,100 reviews, mid-priced, and listed as an event venue. Note it is closed Mondays and closes at 9pm Tuesday to Thursday, so a 7pm start gives two hours. Reviewers describe an industrial garage-door frontage and a lively room — several specifically mention the music being loud enough to make conversation difficult near the speakers, so seating position matters here.
Getting there: The venue is on Fourth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, a short walk from Petco Park and the Convention Centre. The San Diego Trolley serves the Gaslamp with stops a few blocks away, and the district is very walkable. Gaslamp garages are plentiful but rates rise sharply on Padres game days and during conventions.
