Until recently, many in the medical field considered these two conditions separate. In this workshop, Dr. Tom Nicholson will explore how our understanding of ADHD and autism has evolved, challenging traditional views of neurodivergence and the way social media often portrays it as a "superpower."Could there be a more nuanced way to understand neurodivergence? This talk will dive into the core traits of both ADHD and autism, while shedding light on the experiences of those who live with both. Why do many people not realise they are autistic until after being diagnosed with ADHD and starting stimulant medication? How can someone be the life of the party yet feel drained afterward?
