Internationally award-winning Manchester saxophonist and composer Tom Thorp showcases his unique new chamber group The Taka Ensemble in an epic first concert!  In a special world premiere of their new suite Curses&Canticles; The Taka Ensemble tell a vivid story of witchcraft, mysticism and religious zealotry through the unique meeting of contemporary jazz, classical chamber music and world folk traditions.
