The second half is devoted to Vivaldi, beginning with his fiery La Follia, based on one of Europe's oldest musical themes, reimagined over centuries by countless composers. Vivaldi transforms this simple ground bass into a dazzling sequence of variations, brimming with invention and virtuosity. The evening culminates in one of the greatest masterpieces of all time - The Four Seasons.
